In 1989 the Himalayan Trust in the UK was formalised and since then we have created a strong team to lead our efforts:

The trustees all work completely without charge, and pay costs for any trips to Nepal. They are all joined together by their love of Nepal and the Sherpas. Everest has been important to several -Lowe (a close friend to Sir Edmund), Westmacott, and Band were all on the 1953 Expedition, and Rebecca Stephens was the first British Woman to reach the summit of Everest in 1993.
